As a collaboration with Moonlight Architecture in Lebanon, Ohio, this project analyzes a small proposed neighborhood development of Zero Energy Ready Houses (ZERH) to create compelling images and data to present to the local community and zoning boards. The 11 home development occupies a currently unused plot of land for sale directly adjacent to an existing neighborhood and aims to provide local homebuyers with a more sustainable alternative to other homes in the area. Scope of work included image production of a site plan, elevation renders, and overall renders; local climate and zoning research; building science, including SIPS construction research, mechanical suggestions, and daylighting studies; and local market and cost research.
*The home designs and plans in this project were created by Andy Roehl of Moonlight Architecture. Graphics, research, and energy analysis were completed by Rachel Witherspoon, Jackie Zong, and Arya Desai.
